Chairman of Sanga Local Government Council of Kaduna State, Emmanuel Adamu, has announced a 24-hour curfew on the council.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Kafanchan, the council boss noted that the action became necessary in order to restore peace to the trouble areas of the local government. He added that the curfew was also imposed to forestall further loss of lives and properties.
Adamu begged residents of the area to remain calm, assuring them that security operatives were on top of the crisis.
On Monday night, some gunmen invaded Kabamu and Ankpong villages in Sanga and killed about 38 persons. The attack continued on Tuesday evening and more people were feared dead.
