The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has elected some of its members into the National Working Committee position of the party. At a special convention held on Saturday in Abuja, former party spokesman, Olisa Metuh, was re-elected into the same position after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared that the election that brought him in was illegal, which later forced him to resign.
However, elections were held yesterday (Saturday) for various positions to usher in new party’s national officials.
Uche Secondus was elected as the Deputy National Chairman, while Olisa Metuh was made the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP.
Others are Mustapha Abubakar, National Organizing Secretary; Victor Yusuf, National Legal Adviser; Owei Solomon Onwe, Deputy National Secretary; Abuldullahi Ibrahim, Deputy Publicity Secretary; Maidogo Bashiru, Deputy National Legal Adviser; Nnadozie Okechukwu Deputy National Organizing Secretary; Gwadabe Abdul, Deputy National Financial Secretary; Claudius Godsave Deputy Treasurer; Kema Chikwe, Women leader; and Mai Basira, Youth Leader.
