No fewer than six persons were reportedly killed in Shwan Village in Kuru, Jos South local government area of Plateau State when some gunmen invaded the community on Sunday night. The fresh attack left five siblings and one other person perished in the incident.
The armed men stormed the village and killed the victims in their compounds. They unleashed terror on the community who were caught unawares.
Information gathered shows that the gunmen entered Kuru at about 9pm on Sunday, when inhabitants of the village had already retired to their various homes.
The remains of the deceased persons have reportedly been deposited at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police spokesperson in the state, Felicia Anslem, has confirmed the incident. No arrest has yet been made as at press time.
