Following the mundane crisis rocking the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, the party spokesman, Olisa Metuh, has confidently stated that all issues would be resolved on Tuesday (tomorrow), when the PDP bigwigs meet. Metuh, newly re-elected as the party’s National Publicity Secretary, on Saturday, told newsmen in Abuja on Monday, shortly after the newly elected National Working Committee, NWC, members of the PDP held its inaugural meeting at the party’s Wadata Plaza secretariat.
Metuh boasted that all the grievances would be resolved as the party’s stalwarts would meet on Tuesday to discuss the formation of the parallel PDP by Atiku Abubakar on Saturday, which installed Abubakar Baraje as its National Chairman.
‘There are consultations ongoing on Saturday’s incident. We are going to make decisions on what happened and look into the reasons behind them when we meet tomorrow (Tuesday) and resolve the issues,’ Metuh informed journalists.
President Jonathan and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo had reportedly met at the Villa on Sunday purportedly on the issue of Atiku and the seven PDP governors that formed the new PDP.
