The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, paid a courtesy visit to ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in his Abuja home barely 24 hours after the latter formed a parallel Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, along with seven PDP governors.
The Anambra gubernatorial hopeful led a group of South East women to the Adamawa born politician, a move speculated to mean Soludo seeking to pick either the Peoples’ Democratic Movement, PDM, or factional PDP ticket to contest in the November 2013 governorship election in Anambra State.
Soludo decamped to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, from the PDP some weeks ago. He failed to pick the APGA ticket after he was screened out by the party.
