The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, has revealed that the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has now discovered those sent by the opposition to cause disaffection in the ruling party.
Gulak further alleged that those sent by the opposition entered the party by disguising in PDP cloak. “The opposition out there wants the party to split and there are moles. They sent moles in the cloak of PDP,” the President’s aide said in Abuja on Tuesday while addressing State House correspondents.
The Presidency also submitted that, “we have discovered them (the moles) and Insha-Allah (God’s willing in Islam), all PDP stakeholders, especially our field commanders, who are governors, have discovered this, and we are talking.”
Gulak maintained that, “PDP has been there from 1998,” adding that, “it is only PDP that has still maintained its name and identity. The other people (political party) you are talking about started as AD, transformed to AC, then to ACN and now APC.”
“You know they have lost their identity,” he said. “It is only PDP that has consistently maintained its identity and name,” the President’s adviser boasted.
“The President had useful discussions with them and God’s willing these things will be things of the past,” he confidently declared to newsmen.
