Some security operatives, on Saturday afternoon, stormed the secretariat of the Atiku Abubukar led faction of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, formed some days ago. The heavily armed and battle-ready policemen sealed off the office of the faction of the ruling party located at Plot 320, off Onyi River Crescent, in Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
An Armoured Personnel Carrier, APC, and police Hilux vehicles were seen around the break away party’s office building. The area is also condoned off by both uniformed and mufti-clothed policemen.
Movement in and out of the building have been restricted by the security agents.
