Ibadan Flying Object Only A Toy–Police

The police in Ibadan, Oyo State, has confirmed that the reported flying object found in the state on Sunday was only a toy and not a US drone as widely speculated in some sections of the media.

This disclosure was made after the Chairman of Ido local government area of Oyo State, Professor Joseph Adeniyi Olowofela; accompanied by the police, SSS and members of the Civil Defence Corps, visited the place where the said spying object was discovered in Awotan, where it fell on the roof of a resident of the area.

Olowofela expressed his disappointment at the reports that claimed that the toy was a US spy object.

He charged the media to do more of investigative journalism rather than speculative reporting. He further expressed that the report was capable of causing strained relations between Nigeria and the US government.

Also speaking was the creator of the said object, Sunday Folayan, who is an Electronic engineer. Sunday said he has produced many similar toys for his son in the past, explaining that he was playing with his son with the battery propelled toy when it got missing and all effort to get the toy back last week Sunday, when it got missing, proved abortive.
