NSCDC Officials Intercept Truck Loaded With Fuel At Ketu Garage

When some years ago, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, was established, not many thought it would today be a viable security organ in the country. Now, the Civil Defence, as the agency is also called, has turned out to be one of the most trusted and effective security agencies in Nigeria, despite intimidations it has received from a rival body.

Information reliably gathered by Aproko247 reveals that a container truck, loaded with products suspected to be Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, another name for petrol, was intercepted at the yam dealers’ garage in Ketu.

It was learnt that men of the NSCDC, acting on intelligent information, and backed up by the military, stormed the garage and seized the truck. The heavy duty vehicle was loaded with about 35 litres of PMS, which was then taken to the NSCDC command in Alausa, Ikeja.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defence in Lagos State has urged residents of the state to always provide vital information that could lead to the arrest of oil pipelines vandals as it aims to achieve zero tolerance on vandalisation of oil pipelines in 2014.
