A member of the rumoured troubled gospel band, Midnight Crew, Mike Abdul, has disclosed that he can never do a duet with Fuji maestro, Alabi Pasuma Wonder. Abdul made this revelation on Thursday while speaking on a radio show in Lagos, where he was a guest.
Mike, who some believe sings like Pasuma, said on an Eko FM weekly show, ‘Joli Joli Avenue with MC Ice Water’, that due to the lifestyle of the Fuji lord, he would not be able to feature him on any of his (Mike) songs.
Speaking further on the programme, which was monitored by Aproko247, the singer, who has now gone solo, divulged that to him, it goes beyond just an artiste passing a message in his songs, but living a life in accordance with his messages.
Explaining further, Abdul said as a gospel singer, he would expect whoever he features on his song to live according to the gospel. He maintained that like minds should do things together and not otherwise.
When asked about other gospel artistes who have featured Pasuma in their songs, Abdul replied that it is just a matter of what one believes, but as for him, that is his stand on the matter.
The musician also talked about Midnight Crew’s respective member’s solo careers. He explained that they are all still together as one, contrary to speculations that they have parted ways. He disclosed that members of the band agreed to embark on solo careers, but all still with the group.
Meanwhile, Abdul failed to speak on his alleged marriage crash due to infidelity. He described all negative stories written about him in the media as an eye opener for him.
The singer currently has a single entitled ‘Morire’.
