A federal lawmaker from Lagos, Hon Abayomi Michael Ogunusi, has allegedly established a killer squad ahead of the 2015 general elections. Aproko247 gathered that the legislator, representing Ifako-Ijaye Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, met with some alleged political thugs to set up the hit-squad.
On Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, the lawmaker allegedly set up the 28-man killer group to tackle his political opponents. The group was mandated to clear out any form of oppositions, who might want to get in the way of his return to the National Assembly in 2015.
The honourable member allegedly supervised and interviewed 70 candidates shortlisted for the exercise. The hit group was named ‘Ilabe Hit Squad’. The lucky 28 persons eventually picked by the lawmaker were drawn from the wards under his constituency.
Those who assisted in picking the 28-man squad were the Vice Chairman of Ifako-Ijaye local government, Hon Babatunde Ishola, who is widely known as B.I.Q; and another ruthless fellow simply identified as Land Cruiser.
The sum of N28,000 was allegedly doled out to each of the 70 shortlisted persons on the day of interview in Lagos.
Hon Ogunusi is the standing committees on finance, human rights, justice and urban development at the House of Assembly.
Some months ago, the legislator was stoned by the members of his constituency. They accused him of dumping them after he won the election in 2011 into the Assembly, but only came back to them when 2015 is around the corner.
