Pandemonium In Rivers As Police Shoots Senator Abe

News report reaching Aproko247 from Rivers State suggests that one of Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s loyalists, Senator Magnus Abe, who is representing Rivers Central Senatorial District, has allegedly been shot by police in the state.

Senator Abe, according to what a source informed this magazine, was hit by a rubber bullet allegedly fired by a police officer, while trying to disperse people holding a rally in the state.

It was gathered by Aproko247 that some people had gathered in the state to inaugurate the ‘Save Rivers Movement’ at the Rivers State College of Arts and Science, Rumuola, Port Harcourt, when some battle-ready policemen stormed the place and allegedly shot to disperse the gathering.

As at the time of filing this report, the entrance leading to the premises of Rivers State College of Arts and Science, has been barricaded and the venue sealed off by the police.

Our source informed us that the ‘Save Rivers Movement’ was to inaugurate its chapter in Obio-Akpor local government area of the state, where the Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, hails from.
