The abductors of the mother of a Bayelsa State monarch, Walter Agiri, Ikhiogha Walter, and his daughter, Yellow Joseph, have regained freedom after spending some days in the den of the kidnappers. It’s not certain if any ransom was paid to the hoodlums to secure the release of the 74-year-old woman and the 24-year-old lady.
However, the police in the state have stressed that no money was given to the kidnappers for the release of the duo. They were released on Sunday.
Agiri is the Paramount Ruler of Agrisaba Community in Nembe local government area of Bayelsa.
The two family members of the monarch were seized on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at about 6:30am by the gunmen. They stormed the community in two gun boats and took away their victims.
