Information reaching Aproko247 from the city of Onitsha, Anambra State indicates that there was pandemonium in the area on Wednesday morning.
Some residents of the commercial city confirmed to this magazine that some members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, unleashed terror on some Northerners in the area.
At least, one person was feared dead in the melee.
Trouble reportedly started when a Northerner allegedly killed an official of a traffic agency in Anambra, ANSTA, with his truck and ran away. He was reportedly pursued and allegedly killed by members of MASSOB.
The Igbos in the area allegedly went ahead to descend on the Hausas they could lay their hands on. We were informed that some Hausas in Holy Trinity area of Onitsha are on the run, but that police in the area have brought the situation under control.
