The Ekiti State government has inaugurated a committee to look into the creation of Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs, in the state.
Justice Akin Ajakaiye, a renowned historian, was named as Chairman of the committee.
The state governor, Kayode Fayemi, speaking at the inauguration of the committee, which was held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, explained that the move was in response to the requests and agitation of the people of Ekiti State, during his yearly tour of towns and villages in the state.
He charged members of the committee to do a good work, which will benefit the people and the state as well.
Other members of the committee are Professor Isola Olomola, Mrs Tola Ajayi, Professor Kunle Ajayi, Segun Oluwole and Chief Ibidapo Awojolu.
