Some months ago, news went viral in the media that veteran Nigerian actor, Jibola Dabo, was aiming to become a federal lawmaker in 2015. It was reported that he would be hoping to grab a seat at the House of Representatives to represent the people of Owo at the House.
For those in Nollywood, it was a welcomed idea that one of their own will become a lawmaker, but for many fans of the extra-ordinary gifted actor, the news came as a mix of joy and sadness because they fear that they might not be able to see more of him on their silver screens like before when he eventually wins at the polls.
But for the people of Owo, where the actor hails from, they can’t wait for JBD, as the legendary actor is fondly called, to use the mandate to better their lives with dividends of democracy, which they have always craved for.
The CEO of Bisola Hair, Bisola Iyasara, who doubles as the spokesperson of the actor, recently revealed in an interview why Jibola Dabo is going into politics. Bisola is also a former beauty queen.

How was 2013 for you, and Bisola Hair
The year 2013 was a good year for me and Bisola Hair, it was very busy. Thank God. We had the very best customers purchasing Bisola Hair from every class; ladies to governor wives/daughters, Nollywood actresses enjoying and wearing Bisola Hair. So, it was definitely a memorable year.
Apart from your hair business, what else Are you into, especially in UK and US
I am a international motivator trained speaker. I get booked part time to speak at Nigerian government functions and charity events in New York and London. I open up the function usually by talking about the government doing more to support local communities with funding etc. Now, I am in Nigeria and I hope do a lot more of that here too.
As the spokesperson for Jibola Dabo’s political project tagged JBD 2015, what exactly is your job
I am doing a lot for the JBD 2015 campaign project. Jibola Dabo is a unique personality who believes in equal right and is always interested in putting smiles on the faces of people. Jibola is a straight forward man with a big heart and ready to support the needy. I am very convinced that the people of Ondo State will benefit from Jibola’s “HUGE” plans to move Nigeria forward.
Which Party is Jibola Joining
I’ve been interviewed by several newspapers and radio stations and I get a lot of people calling me on a daily basis to ask which party Jibola is joining. For now, that cannot be disclosed. But I’ve been telling everyone that Jibola is going to join the best and wining party. Jibola is a great man who is proud of where he comes from, which is Owo in Ondo State.
He cares about his people in Ondo State so much that he feels it’s time to contest for the House of Reps. This way, he can get better health care, better roads, education, scholarship for students, youth empowerment, and more employment for the people of Owo in Ondo State. He is 100 percent man for this position.
Why are you very confident of him
I have been monitoring his performance for a while now and he’s been setting up a lot of great things for his people in Ondo State. I’m very pleased and impressed with his strong effects. I can assure you that Jibola fulfil everything he intends to do to make his people very happy. Everyone should support the campaign and VOTE for Jibola.
Are you also eying politics
Never say never. That’s all I can say to that question.
Has being a celebrity ever deprived you of anything
I’m not a celebrity, I am just Bisola Iyasara, a fantastic motivation speaker
How did you come about the idea of the hair business; do you study that in school
I have a huge desire for the best, lovely and high quality hair. I took a course in New York in medical, hair consultancy. It was a very interesting course, which helped me to learn why and how people suffer from hair loss, which in some cases, turns into alopecia.
I learnt a lot about the human brain, things that cause stress, which lead to hair loss. I’m so glad that I took the course as I am able to help, assist and recommend the best silk top glueless full lace wigs for my customers that are suffering from severe damage hair loss.
As a hair expert, what is your impression on the attitude of Nigerian women as regards hair care
Nigerian ladies are very good when it comes to hair. They love the highest grade quality hair, they buy a lot of hair, and they do buy great hair products to maintain their hair in lovely conditions. Most of my customers know how to care for their hair.
Some of your clients are top-class socialites in Nigeria, how has the experience been
Oh wow, you really have been doing your research on Bisola Iyasara. Yes, some of my clients are top Nigerian socialites. I recently added Senator Florence Ita Giwa as my client. She actually told me to tell people that she said “Bisola Hair is a very top quality peruvian virgin hair”. I was very flattered to have heard that from her.
Celebrity Nollywood actresses wearing the Bisola Hair include Ini Edo, Nkriu Sylvanus, Mercy Aigbe, Angela Okorie, Biola Ige and last but not least, Omo Iyasara, who is my cousin.
Bisola Hair has a company policy- that we never disclose customers’ names without their consents. The reason why I mentioned the above names in this interview was because I got their permissions to do so. We are very professional. A lot of ladies love and buy Bisola Hair, but they do not want other ladies to know their hair secrets and where they buy them from. I guess it’s because they want to be the only ones wearing Bisola’s top quality hair.
Are you thinking of floating a hair factory in Nigeria
Not a factory, but I am thinking of getting a small consultancy office in ikoyi for Bisola Hair customers to come and get good advice on their hair.
Do you have any plans of living in Nigeria
I would love to. Nigeria is a wonderful and fantastic place to live in, especially Lagos. The city reminds me of New York and London. Everything is happening there. Good food, great weather and fun-loving people.
