The All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken a new step to bring down the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
At the end of a meeting of its interim National Executive Council, NEC, held in Abuja on Thursday, the opposition party ordered its members at the National Assembly to henceforth snub all executive bills, including the 2014 budget, presented before the Assembly by President Jonathan.
The party, while addressing a press conference in Abuja, after the meeting, said through its spokesman, Lai Mohammed, that the order would be reversed until peace is restored in Rivers State.
APC also noted that the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, led Federal Government must resolve all security issues in the country. The party said until that is done, its members would block all bills, including the budget and the screening of the 12 ministerial nominees presented to the Senate by President Jonathan.
