Gunmen Kill Police Chief In Delta

Information reaching Aproko247 confirms that a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, Anthony Jeaga, who hails from Edo State, was on Monday killed by some unknown gunmen in Delta State.

Until his demise, late Jeaga was the Divisional Traffic Officer in charge of Agbor Divisional Police Headquarters, where he was transferred to few months ago from the state police headquarters in Asaba, Delta State capital.

His body was left along the Agbor-Abavo Road by the gunmen, while they went away with his silver coloured Toyota Camry car with registration number AYB 88 AA.

It was learnt that a man had said some unwarranted words about the victim before his death, who has now been arrested by the police for interrogation.

The corpse of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital in Agbor for autopsy.

The death of the senior cop is coming barely five weeks after the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Lucky Uyabeme, died in an auto crash.
