As part of his efforts to mend the leakages in the ‘torn umbrella’ of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, the newly appointed National Chairman of the ruling party, Adamu Mu’azu, held a closed-door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, in Minna, Niger State.
The meeting was held on Friday afternoon at the gap-toothed General’s Minna Uphill residence.
Mu’azu led a 15-man team to IBB.
They talked for about one hour before Mu’azu left the ex-military ruler’s house.
On the entourage of the PDP Chairman were the party’s National Youth Leader, Abdullahi Maibasera; former House of Representatives Speaker, Gali Na’aba and the state PDP acting chairman, Tanko Beji. However, only IBB and Mu’azu held the secret meeting, while others excused them.
But after the meeting, IBB declined to speak to journalists who were anxiously waiting to know the outcome of their closed-door talks.
However, when Mu’azu spoke with newsmen after the meeting, he refused the divulged details of the meeting to journalists.
