No fewer than four persons were feared dead on Saturday morning when the convoy of the deputy governor of Ondo State, Ali Olanusi, was involved in a fatal car crash.
The deputy governor was said to have been on his way to a social function in Akure when the unfortunate incident happened along the Aponmu-Owena on Ondo road.
Reports say that Olanusi’s convoy was allegedly on a high speed, which caused the road mishap.
A teenager travelling with an Osun State-based monarch, Osomakinde of Ife Tuntun, Oba Taofik Olaposi, was among the victims who died in the accident.
The remains of the four dead victims have reportedly been deposited at the state specialist hospital in Akure.
