Barely a week some suspected cattle rustlers attacked a police station in Giade area of Bauchi, another police station has been raided, resulting in the death of at least two people.
The hoodlums stormed Soro Divisional Police Station in Ganjuwa local government area of Bauchi, killing a police officer and his son. Also, one police Corporal was injured in the attack, while four suspects were reportedly freed from police cell by the invaders.
Information gathered revealed that the gunmen completely burnt down the station in an attack that took place on Monday at about 1am.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, disclosed that the injured corporal was shot in the leg by the gunmen during the attack. He added that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack and that they are presently undergoing interrogation.
