Candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the 2011 Kwara State governorship election, Mohammed Dele Belgore, has decamped to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP. Belgore announced his defection on Wednesday in Ilorin, the state capital.

He stated that he was leaving the All Progressives Congress, APC, because of an alleged injustice meted to him and those that laboured to sustain APC in the state.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria further claimed that the APC undemocratically handed over the party’s structure to new entrants into the party without considering those that laboured hard to set up the structure in the first place.

Belgore urged his supporters to join him in his new party, stating that he finally dumped the party having tried all avenues to amend things, which woefully failed.
