Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Samuel Adesina, has passed on. Adesina died on Tuesday after a protracted illness. A statement released on Tuesday by the state government revealed that the deceased died after battling with cancer of the urinary bladder.
“The untimely death of the Speaker occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, February 25, 2014 during a protracted battle with the cancer of the urinary bladder.
“The Ondo State Government received the news with rude shock and disbelief and commiserates with the family of the late Speaker, the state legislature as well as the entire people of the state on this irreparable loss,” the Ondo State Government said in the statement.
It is however unclear where the late Speaker died, but Ondo State government has debunked reports that the late lawmaker died at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos.
Late Adesina represented Odigbo Constituency 11 while alive.
