After over two weeks of intense search for the missing Flight MH370 Malaysian Airlines plane, the country’s Prime Minister, Najib Razak, has confirmed on Monday that aircraft crashed into the Indian Ocean.
Addressing newsmen, Razak disclosed that none of the 239 passengers and crew members in the plane survived. The Prime Minister also pointed out that he relied on information from a new satellite analysis from Britain, which showed that the plane was last seen in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth, Australia.
He said stated that families of those in the Flight MH370 have already been informed of the sad developments.
Razak said, “this is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”
Also, his Australian counterpart, Tony Abbott, said that a grey or green circular object and an orange rectangular object were spotted on Monday afternoon.
Flight MH370 left Malaysia to China on March 8, 2014, but disappeared from the civilian radar screens less than an hour after taking off.
