Senate Confirms Godwin Emefiele As CBN Boss

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Zenith Bank Managing Director, Godwin Emefiele, as the new Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

His confirmation was done on Wednesday afternoon by members of the red chambers of the National Assembly.

Emefiele will replace Sanusi Lamide Sanusi, who was recently suspecded by President Goodluck Jonathan over alleged financial recklessness.
