Budding Nigerian artiste, Margaret Mary Joseph, otherwise known as Zara Gretti, has passed on. The singer died on Friday in the United States of America, USA, after a long battle with multiple Sclerosis.
Zara is known for songs like ‘Aboko Ku’, ‘Teno’, ‘Flyest’ amongst others.
About two years back, the artiste informed her fans of her illness. Sometime in 2013, she went on social media to seek for prayers from her fans over her predicament. Zara also complained of loss of sleep. She was aged 28.
Sclerosis is a potentially debilitating disease that makes the body’s immune system to eat away the protective sheath (Myelin) that covers the nerves. A Damage to the Myelin causes interference in the communication flow in the brain, spinal cord and other areas of the body. This condition may result in deterioration of the nerves, a process that’s not reversible.
