Prof Adeyemi made this known at the collation centre in Igbokoda township. His announcement came as shock to some of the election observers.

The scholar has therefore called for a re-run of the election.

Saturday’s bye-election became necessary following the demise of Raphael Nomiye in 2013. Late Nomiye was elected into the House of Representatives under the platform of the Labour Party.
