Suspected members of Boko Haram Islamist group, on Sunday, murdered about 25 persons, including 19 supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Maiduguri.
The party members were reportedly on their way to a meeting of the APC in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, when they were attacked by the gunmen. The insurgents staged two separate attacks on their victims, killing them in the progress.
The 19 members of the APC were said to be delegates going for their party’s congress taking place in the state. The two unfortunate incidents took place at Gwoza and along the Maiduguri/Biu road in the state.
The terrorists ambushed their victims and shot at them.
