The governor of Kaduna State, Mukhtar Yero has expressed grieve over the demise of a lawmaker in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Shaibu Tukura, who died on Monday, March 31, 2014.
The late legislator was a member of the state Assembly representing Kauru/Chawai Constituency.
The governor, in a statement released on Thursday, described late Tukura as “a distinguished lawmaker, who dedicated his time in the Assembly to making positive contributions to the process of formulating laws that will improve the living conditions of the people.”
Yero further sobbed that lawmaker would be greatly missed, noting that the deceased left at a time he was most needed. The governor also grieved that “Kaduna State has indeed lost an illustrious son and one of our fertile minds in the legislature.”
He prayed that God grants the family of the late lawmaker the fortitude to bear the great loss.
