David Moyes has finally been sacked as Head Coach of Manchester United. The Scot was axed on Tuesday after a stormy season at the Theatre of Dreams club. The red Manchester lost 2-0 to Everton on Sunday in a league match.
Moyes took over from his fellow countryman, Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired from the English club after spending 27 years with the current champions of the English Premier League.
The former Everton boss joined United in the summer of 2013 and won 27 games in charge of the Red Devils, losing 15 matches. The club confirmed the sack of Moyes on Tuesday via its official Twitter page. David Moyes’ spell at United saw the dwindling of the club’s fortune.
Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs has been appointed as the interim coach of Manchester United. The Welsh footballer, before now, has been at the club as a player/coach.
Manchester United is presently sitting seventh on the table and its hopes of playing in Europe next season is very dim with only three games to go.
