Deputy Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Blaise Orji, has been asked to step down by his colleagues in the Assembly.
The lawmaker was suspended from office on Tuesday along with two others. Orji was accused of insubordination by the House.
At the plenary on Tuesday, Orji, representing Afikpo South East, with two others; Eni Uduma Chima and Frank Onwe, both representing Afipko South West Constituency and Ohaukwu North State Constituency respectably, also allegedly attempted to cause disaffection between the legislature and the executive arm of government.
