A mob pounced on three men suspected to be kidnappers in Ota area of Ogun State on Wednesday, burning them to ashes before the police could rescue them. The incident took place on Ijoko road, Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of the state.
The hoodlums were attracted to the scene when the kidnapped victim cried for help.
The victim, one Oluwole Elizabeth, 26, was said to have boarded a taxi from Sona Breweries in Sango-Ota at about 7:30am to Ewekoro, but found herself at Gas-line area in Ijoko of the state.
When the men in the cab could not give her a meaningful explanation for that, we learnt she screamed for help, which got the mob to rescue her and set the suspected kidnappers ablaze.
Meanwhile, the police has begun investigation into the matter and the victim being questioned.
