A suspected kidnapper ran out of luck on Tuesday in Lagos when she was apprehended by some people and set ablaze after she could not explain how she came in custody of three children she was with.
The incident, which occurred at Ekoro Road in Abule-Egba, Lagos, at about 7am, resulted in a traffic logjam in the area for hours.
It was gathered that the suspected kidnapper, when accosted by some curious passers-by, could not state the real identity of the primary school pupils she claimed to be her children. The woman reportedly told the mob that she was taking the children to their school, but could not also say the name of the said school.
The pupils; two males and a female, informed the anxious crowd that they do not know the woman. Their ages were put between seven and 10 years.
It was also learnt that when it became clear to the mob that the suspect had no link with the children, she was descended on and set ablaze before some policemen arrived.
