Femi Otedola To Shut Down Lagos For Dad's May 30 Burial

Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, according to information relayed to Aproko247 by a perching bird, is doing everything within his power to throw a superlative burial ceremony for his late father, Sir Michael Otedola, who once ruled Lagos State as governor.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, the former governor breathed his last at the age of 87. Since the octogenarian joined his ancestors, his oil and gas mogul son has started putting up plans to give his late dad a befitting burial, a source who should know told Aproko247.

The family of the late politician has already released the funeral arrangements. The rites will take place on May 28, 29 and 30, according to information divulged to this magazine.

Femi, as we were further told, is planning a grand event that might bring Lagos to a standstill. From what Aproko247 gathered, almost all governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, are expected to grace the occasion, just as few others from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are also expected.

We learnt that the Lagos State government is fully involved in the plans, since the deceased once governed the state from 1992 to 1993 as a civilian governor.
