A bomb attack was on Friday foiled by the police in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja. It was believed that suspected Boko Haram members planned to blow up the area until the men of the Anti Bomb Squad, ABS, of the Nigeria Police stopped it.
It was learnt that a Golf car filled with jerrycans and gas cylinders was parked at about 7am on Friday near ElRufai Bustop by Channel 8 Junction in Kubwa. Upon sighting the car, those in the area scampered for safety.
