Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, has urged Nigerians to keep praying for peace to reign in the country. Maku, speaking in Abuja on Sunday at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Church in Utako, noted that prophetic prayers can stop terrorism in Nigeria.
He further urged citizens of the country to join hands with the Federal Government in the fight against the terrorism, which has become menace, noting that the government cannot be left alone in the struggle.
“Our country is currently going through the torment of darkness, but it will soon overcome this and peace will soon return to the country,” the Minister assured, noting that, “this is the time the country needs our prayers most. Peace cannot come to stay, except prophetic prayers which can change the present challenges in the country are rendered.”
Maku stressed that prayers could avert the evils happening in Nigeria, expressing optimism that the present challenges facing the country would soon be over.
He called on Nigerians to be security conscious, while also noting that, “these terrorists live in the same communities with us, they are not strangers.”
“Nigerians must also be conscious of their environment. They must be vigilant and ensure that people do not park their cars or leave items such as bags unattended to,” Maku charged Nigerians.
