No fewer than 40 members of the deadly Islamic sect called Boko Haram have been killed, a Cameroonian media has disclosed. The insurgents were reportedly killed in Kouserri, a town in northwest Cameroon which shares boundaries with both Nigeria and Chad.
The terrorists were feared dead over the weekend by the country’s army officers after they engaged the military in a gun battle. They (insurgents) were subdued and about 40 of them were gunned down in the process. It is however not clear whether the Cameroonian military suffered any human loss in the clashes.
Nigeria has accused Cameroon of being slow in combating the terrorists group.
But the country said about 1,000 troops were deployed to its border to join in the fight against terrorism.
Good news from cameroon.
