President Goodluck Jonathan has finally filled the vacuum left with the exit of Ahmed Gulak as his aide on Political Matters.
The President appointed Professor Rufa’i Alkali as his new Special Adviser on Political Affairs, a position formerly held by Gulak before his removal few months ago.
Jonathan’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, in a press statement on Thursday in Abuja, said Prof. Alkali, a Political Scientist, once served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2013. He is from Gombe State.
The President also appointed Hajia Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools’ Agriculture Programme. The new appointee was until recently, the Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.
Both appointments take immediate effect, the statement disclosed.
