Contrary to viral news reports that veteran Nigerian actor, Romanus Amuta, widely known as ‘Natty’, was dead, Aproko247 can authoritatively report and confirm that he is alive.
The actor, who became popular due to his comic role in the highly successful Nigerian television soap in the 80s, New Masquerade, is responding to treatment at an Enugu hospital.
A source in the know informed our reporter on Monday that Natty is being taken good care of at the hospital by President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Ibinabo Fiberesima, who has spent an undisclosed amount of money on him.
“Ibinabo has spent a lot of money from her pocket to make sure the man is well-treated and alive. He is not dead as being widely reported on the internet since Saturday,” the source informed Aproko247.
It was further whispered to Aproko247 that “Ibinabo also gave Natty’s wife some amount of money for her upkeep, while she (Ibinabo) also made sure the man has enough food to eat while in the hospital, pending the time he would be discharged.
Meanwhile Aproko247 could not speak with Ibinabo before publishing this story as she could not be reached by our reporter.
