Some hours ago, news went viral on the internet that Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi and his colleague in the Nigerian football team, Emmanuel Emenike, had a bust-up at their training camp.
The misunderstanding, according to what Aproko247 reliably learnt, started when Emmanuel allegedly made a rough tackle on the Chelsea midfielder, which angered him. It was said that Mikel reacted swiftly by allegedly punching the Super Eagles striker, and an argument reportedly ensued between them afterwards.
It was further said to us that both players kept each other at arm’s length at their training camp.
This magazine was also reliably informed that the Head Coach of the team, Stephen Keshi, had to intervene in the matter and settled their differences.
It was gathered that both players are now in talking terms.
The team is expected to open their 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign in Brazil on June 16 against Iran by 8pm at the Arena da Baixada, Curitiba.
