A member of the Nigerian Senate, Dahiru Awaisu Kuta, has died, Aproko247 can confirm. The lawmaker gave up the ghost on Thursday morning, according to information revealed to this magazine.
Senator Kuta was elected member of the red chamber to represent the people of Niger East Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
He has been at the NASS since May 29, 2007 and he is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. The lawmaker, in 1983, was elected to the Niger State House of Assembly, where he became minority whip. Ten years later, he was elected to the Federal House of Representatives and was appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business.
