Roli, wife of a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olabode George, has been appointed as the new Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Her appointment was confirmed on Thursday by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, in a statement in Abuja, disclosed that the appointment takes immediate effect.
Abati said, “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has appointed Mrs Roli Bode-George as the Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency .
“Mrs Bode-George takes over from Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.”
Bode George was formerly the Vice-Chairman of PDP, South-West.
