The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, MD Abubakar, has decorated some newly promoted police officers. The ceremony was held in Abuja and was attended by some high ranking officers.
Among the decorated senior police officers were an Assistant Inspector General, Grace Chita Okudo; two Commissioners of Police, Elias Okafor Wayemeru and Henry Adebayo Fadairo; and two Assistant Commissioners of Police, Yusuf Chiromawa Usman and Frank Mba.
According to the Force, the officers were honoured in line with the Police Administration’s strategy of boosting the morale of its men through the reward of merit and excellence.
The IGP, while congratulating the officers, stressed the need for greater commitment to the fight against terrorism and all forms of crimes and criminality. He charged them to justify their promotion.
