Nigeria’s Vice President, Namadi Sambo, on Thursday, visited the scene of Wednesday’s bomb explosion at a shopping mall in Abuja, which claimed the lives of about 21 persons, including a top journalist.
Sambo also visited victims of the blast at the hospital, where he condemned the act.
Speaking during the visit, Sambo urged Nigerians to be very conscious of their environments, assuring citizens that the government is committed to securing lives and property of Nigerians.
The Vice President further charged Nigerians to cooperate with security agencies in the country as they fight crime and terrorism. He urged residents of Abuja, especially those near the scene of the explosion to go about their normal duties
Sambo disclosed that the government will soon win its war against terrorism in Nigeria and stressed that perpetrators of evil cannot dampen the spirit of Nigerians with their evil acts.
