Former Minister of Transportation, Umaru Dikko, has passed on. The respected northern politician and elder statesman died in a London hospital on Tuesday.
It was learnt that the prominent opinion leader had suffered strokes before his death.
The 78-year-old politician was once a Commission in the now Kaduna State. He fled to London on exile after General Muhammadu Buhari staged a military coup in 1983, while the deceased was a Minister under the regime of Shehu Shagari, a democratically elected President.
