Four ministerial nominees cleared by the Senate some days ago have been sworn-in as Ministers by President Goodluck Jonathan.
President Jonathan performed the ceremony on Wednesday in Abuja and also announced their portfolios.
They are Ibrahim Shekarau as Minister of Education, Abdul Bulama as Minister of Science and Technology, Stephen Oru as Minister of Niger Delta and Adedayo Adeyeye as Minister of State for Works.
Jonathan also announced that the present Minister of Works, Bashir Yuguda, will now be the Minster of State for Finance and substantive Minister of National Planning.
Shekarau left the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after he fell out with the party leadership. The APC maintained that the present state governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will be the party leader in the state, as against Shekarau’s wish to be so. He was a former governor of Kano State.
