A suicide bomber detonated a bomb at a petrol station in Kano on Monday morning, just when Muslims were celebrating the Eid Fitr festival to mark the successful end of Ramadan fast.
The incident occurred at a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mega Filling Station at Hotoro Quarters, along Maiduguri Road, Kano.
The police said four persons died in the attack, including the suicide bomber, who is a female.
Information has it that the bomber had pretended to be waiting to purchase kerosene at the fuel station before detonating the explosives.
The police said full investigation into the incident has begun, while about eight persons injured in the blast have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
