Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have moved the Assembly to another location in a bid to complete the impeachment process against the state governor, Umaru Al-Makura.
It was learnt that the lawmakers relocated the Assembly from Lafia, the state capital, and are not holding their sitting in Karu area of the state to look into a petition filed against the state Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko, who instituted a seven-man panel to probe the governor over allegations of misconduct.
Al-Makura has been having a tough time with the Assembly members, who are majorly members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP. The governor’s party, All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the PDP national body of using their members against the governor.
