An aide to Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Sunny Ofili, on Saturday, died in a car accident along Benin-Asaba-Onitsha Expressway in the state.
Ofili, who until his demise was the Special Adviser on Information and Communication Technology to Uduaghan, died in the auto crash alongside the Obi of Issele-Uku, Henry Ezeagwunam, and his son. They were reportedly burnt to death in the accident.
Their vehicle reportedly rammed into a stationary truck around Otulu junction on the expressway and immediately went up into flames. It could not be confirmed if they were driving on a top speed, however, it was gathered that the monarch was the one driving the vehicle while Ofili was sitting at the passenger’s side of the car.
