Lagos Prophet Räpes Girl In Hotel During Deliverance

A man, who claimed to be a prophet with the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, has been arraigned before a Magistrates Court in Lagos for allegedly sleeping with a girl without her consent. The man, Adewale Adeleke, 23, was accused of forcefully sleeping with the lady (identity withheld) at a hotel in Ebute Metta area of the state.

The said crime was committed on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Original Inn Hotel, Ebute Meta, Lagos around 6pm.

During his arraignment at the Yaba Magistrates’ Court on Monday, prophet Adeleke was said to have approached his victim, claiming that he knows about her problems, promising to help her solve them through a scheduled prayer session.

However, at the appointed place for the deliverance session, the above named hotel, the acclaimed ‘man of God’ allegedly told his victim to strip her cloth, a prerequisite for her prayer to be answered and later unlawfully assaulted her, sleeping with her without her consent in the process.

Adeleke was also said to have told the lady to hand over her mobile phone to him as well as the sum of N13,000 as mobilization fees.

After reading the four-count charge of stealing, obtaining by false pretext, impersonation and molest to him, the accused pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum by the Chief Magistrate, Ariike Oshibayo.

Meanwhile, the matter was adjourned till August 16 for further hearing.
